remain的用法有以下几点：
1、作不及物动词表示“剩下”、“仍有”，只能用于主动语态，不可直接接宾语。

2、作系动词表示“一直保持”、“仍然（处于某种状态）”后接名词In spite of their quarrel, they remained the best friends. 他们虽然吵过架，但仍然是最好的朋友。后接形容词We must always remain modest and calm. 我们必须经常保持谦虚、谨慎。后接动名词She remained standing though we asked her to sit down. 虽然我们请她坐下，但她还是站着。 后面接seat时，seat要变成seated，看成形容词形式，意思“就座的”。也就是remain+形容词的句式Please remain seated until the plane has come to a complete stop. 在飞机完全停稳前，请不要离开您的座位。
