late的用法和搭配

late的用法：late表示做某事迟了，late后接（in+）v -ing。如果动名词后面有宾语，in+ v -ing形式则可用with代替。在口语中，late可直接跟动名词，省略in。late的搭配：late in the day。

late的例句：He defected from the party in the late 1970s（他在20世纪70年代后期叛出了该党）；Stay in bed extra late or get up specially early（起床过晚或过早）。
