一、用“比较级 + than any other + 单数名词”表示。

例如：Tom is taller than any other student in his class. 汤姆是他们班最高的学生。

二、用否定的比较级表示。例如：—What do you think of Mr. Wang's teaching 你认为王老师的课上得怎样 —Oh, no one teaches better.哦，没有人能够教得更好了。(言外之意：他教得最好。)—Are you satisfied with her answer 她的回答你满意吗 —Not at all. It couldn't have been worse.一点也不满意!没有比这更糟糕的了。(言外之意：她的回答最差。)三、用cannot / can never ... too ... 结构表示。例如：You cannot be too careful when crossing the street.你过马路时再怎么小心也不过分。As a teacher, you can never be too patient with slow students.作为老师，对于学习有困难的学生要耐心再耐心。（言外之意：再怎么耐心都不过分）四、用“as + 形容词原级 + as + 形容词原级 + can be”结构表示。例如：I'm as happy as happy can be.我快乐极了。—Can he afford to buy the car 他买得起那辆车吗 —No, he can't. He is as poor as poor can be. 不，他买不起。他一贫如洗。

五、用介词beyond表示。例如：—Have you seen his beautiful pictures 你见到他那些漂亮的画了吗 —Yes. His best-known work that is beyond all praise can be seen in the exhibition.是的。他那幅叫人赞不盛赞的名作在此次展览中展出了。

六、用the last表示。The last thing I want to do is to offend you.我最不愿意做的就是惹你生气。He is the last man I want to see.他是我最不想见的人。He would be the last man to go there.他最不可能到那里去。
