让步状语，全称让步状语从句。
是指状语从句中的一种，其本身也是状语从句。一般翻译为“尽管……”或“即使……”，就是我们日常生活中用的“退一步说…”的感觉。让步状语从句一般指情况的对比，也可叫“对比从句”。例句：
1. 让步状语从句连接词有although(虽然)，though(虽然)，however(然而)，whoever(无论谁)，whichever(无论哪个)，whatever(无论什么)，whenever(无论什么时候)等等，这些都是引导让步状语从句的连接词，例如no matter whatever，we won't give up(无论什么事情我们都不会放弃)。
although he is very tall，he is still a kid(虽然他很高，但是他还是个孩子)。
